The Top Dynamic Duos on Satellite TV

TV is filled with dynamic duos. These pairings run the range from stoners to FBI agents to country cops and Muppets. They fill us with laughter, tears and make us glad to have known them. Presented here are some of the most endearing and memorable duos in TV land.Bert and Ernie: Bert and Ernie are those lovable Muppets who share a flat somewhere in Sesame Street. The roommates' personalities were supposedly defined on the basis of their appearance. Bert was a banana and Ernie an orange. Bert is known for his unibrow and his grumpy demeanor. He often reads from a book called Boring Stories-and he often laughs at those boring stories. Ernie on the other hand, is fun loving, and loves to take baths with his rubber ducky. He also enjoys singing. You can now enjoy Bert and Ernie and all their Sesame Street pals in HD.Mulder and Scully: One is obsessed with aliens, conspiracy theories and sunflower seeds; the other sports a red bob and remains skeptically unconvinced of the sup ernatural, although she is a Catholic. Fox Mulder and Dana Scully captured our collective imaginations for years as they battled odd creatures and unearthed startling cover-ups. You can still catch the pair on the Sci-fi Channel, or watch for the X-Files movies on any of your satellite TV movie channels.Batman and Robin: Go back to the original Batman TV series to catch the original dynamic duo. Robin's colorful phrasing-'holy, rusted metal, Batman'-was a pleasure all in itself. Of course, the costumes and the gadgets weren't as fancy as today's Batman franchise, but there was something quaint and reassuring about the old school Batman and Robin.Cheech and Chong: This comedy duo are pretty infamous for their stand up routines and skits involving free love and drugs. Their hippie style musings and outrageous songs are still memorable today. You can often catch this funny pair by tuning in to your satellite TV.Shaggy and Scooby: Although, Scooby Doo is a dog, and Shaggy is a h uman, these two make a great duo. Shaggy is something of a slacker, a beatnik more interested in eating than solving mysteries. Scooby, likewise, has a large appetite and the two are often bribed by Scooby Snacks. The both are also cowardly and often end up being chased by monsters. However, they do make a lovable pair, and often whether inadvertently or not, they are important factors in solving the mystery at hand.Andy and Barney: The Andy Griffith Show aired from 1960-1968. It instantly became a classic, with its two leads, And y Taylor and Barney Fife as two small town cops. Barney, played by Don Knotts, with his big ears and wide grin, was the bumbling, somewhat dimwitted but well-meaning deputy; Andy the Sheriff, in contrast was a man with his wits about him. He solved the problems and kept everyone out of trouble.Starsky and Hutch: Again, we have two police officers. But Starsky and Hutch are no country bumpkins. They roam the streets of Southern California, catching bad guys. Fans grew to love their witty banter and their close friendship. Though the show is off the air, you can still catch the reruns on satellite TV.
